With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Grace Khatunyi Imbayi, who departed from this world on 26th November 2025 after bravely battling cervical cancer for three years. Grace faced her illness with remarkable courage, unwavering faith, and an inspiring strength that touched everyone around her.
Grace entered into marriage in 1991 with the late Stanley Imbayi Musonye, with whom she built a home grounded in love and devotion.
She was a devoted and loving mother to her beloved children:
Velmah Khasoha, Gascoigne Muganzi, Jermaine Jenus, Machel Scovia, and the late Beauttah Annan.
She was a proud and caring grandmother to:
Scarlet Tazanna, Tiffany Kylie, Beauden Malachi, and Dwayne Kenneth Odhiambo.
Grace was also a cherished sister whose presence blessed a large and loving family. She is remembered fondly by her siblings:
Rickson Imbwaka, Mildred Mabia, Joyce Mikoli, Edith Khamahalia, Esther Achitsa, Franciscah Mwanje, Patrick Ababu, Irish Masitsa, Bernad Khayumbi, Desterious Ndombi, and the late Janet Khamali.
A committed woman of faith, Grace worshipped at Menritta Church of the Holy Spirit – Lusui, where she served with dedication and humility. Her faith remained her anchor, even in her most difficult moments.

Body Viewing & Departure:
The body will leave Mukumu Funeral Home on Friday, 12th December 2025.
Burial Date:
Saturday, 13th December 2025
Final Resting Place:
Kakamega County, Ikolomani South, Kasavayi Sublocation.
Grace leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and kindness—qualities that will continue living in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
