Eulogy

ROBINSON WANGUNYU MUIRURI

Birth

The late Robinson Wangunyu Muiruri was born in the year 1960 at Ndabibi, Naivasha, Nakuru County, to his parents, the late John Muiruri (Kanyoro) and Ruth Muthoni Muiruri (Kanyoro).

He was blessed with many siblings, namely: Josephine Wairimu Kiando, Lucy Wanjiru Muiruri, the late Joseph Waweru, Jane Waringa Gitaiga, Margaret Nyambura, Grace Nungari Gichuhi, Mary Waithira, Ann Wanjiku, Peter Gitau, and David Nganga.

Childhood

Robinson was raised by his loving parents and grew up like other children of his generation. From a young age, he was hardworking and responsible, assisting his parents with home duties such as herding and farming.

Initiation

He was initiated into adulthood in the year 1976, belonging to the Tarino age-set.

Education

Robinson began his education at Kanjuku Primary School, where he studied for three years before transferring to Mukuyu Primary School, where he sat for his Standard Seven examination.
He later joined Sultan Hamud Secondary School, where he completed his Form Four education.

Work Life

The late Robinson began his career as an Untrained Teacher (U.T.) in Nyandarua. He later worked at Kenya Breweries before venturing into business at Marigiti Market and later in Mombasa.
After relocating back home from Mombasa, he continued engaging in various business activities to support his family.

Marriage and Family

In 1979, Robinson married his beloved wife, Jane Wanjiru Muiruri. That same year, they were blessed with their firstborn child, Lucy Wangui.
Together, they were further blessed with children: Francis Muiruri, John Muiruri, Robert Ndungu, George Chege, Joseph Waweru, Ruth Muthoni, and Joyce Wairimu.
He was also a loving grandfather to many grandchildren.

Church Life

Robinson was baptized at St. Mathew A.C.K. Titu Parish at a young age. In the year 2024, he gave his life to Christ at Solid Rock Fellowship, Kanjuku Church.

Illness and Demise

The late Robinson began ailing in 2022. He sought medical treatment at several hospitals, including Koma Rock Modern Hospital (Embakasi), Kijabe Mission Hospital, Kenyatta University Referral Hospital, Thika Level 5 Hospital, and Igegania Level 4 Hospital.

On 7th January 2026, his condition deteriorated, and on 1st February 2026, he was promoted to glory at the age of 66 years.

He leaves behind his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.

“The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

In God’s hands you rest; in our hearts, you remain forever.
